Q&A
Question about the event? Check here first!
Q: Can I bring a plus one?
No. This is a small event with our closest friends and family. Please only RSVP for the name(s) detailed on your invitation.
Q: What should I wear?
Wear something that will work for a garden party in October, and that you are comfortable in. It may get a bit chilly in the evening, so please bring along a jacket or sweater to stay warm.
Q: Can you tell me more about the venue?
The venue is a private home and farm property of our close family friend. There are many animals that live at the venue and will be located in their enclosures for the duration of the event. The ceremony will be held outside on the property, while the reception portion of the evening will be held in renovated, beautiful barn space.
Please note that there is no smoking anywhere on the property.
Q: Can I pet the animals that live at the venue?
Please do not touch, pet, or enter the enclosures fences of where animals live. Wildfell farm is home to lots of lovely farm animals and we ask that you respect their home and their boundaries.
Q: When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by August 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount.
Q: Is there dinner?
There will be an informal, food-truck style dinner and additional desserts later in the evening.
Q: Is there parking at the venue?
No. Unless we have specifically told you otherwise, please plan on taking the provided shuttle from the hotels in Guelph or a ride share service.
Q: What are the taxis/ride share programs in Guelph?
If you are not able to make the shuttle, you are welcome to take a taxi or a ride share to the farm. Please note that service can be limited at the venue.
Again, we will have a shuttle running to the farm before the ceremony, and multiple shuttles leaving the farm at different points in the night, as an alternative to taxis/ride shares.
Q: What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Our wedding will be taking place on grass and the reception flooring is wood. Thin heels are probably not the best option. Most importantly, wear shoes that you are comfortable in and confident you can dance in (or bring an extra pair to switch into!)
Q: Are kids invited?
This is a small event with our closest friends and family. Please only RSVP for the name(s) detailed on your invitation.
Q: Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
We will be having an unplugged ceremony, so please keep your phones and cameras away during this time. After the ceremony, you are more than welcome (and encouraged) to take as many photos as you would like!
Q: Is there an open bar?
Yes :) But if you would like to tip the bartenders, please bring cash.
Q: Whom should I contact if I have more questions?
Please reach out to either Dawson or Jess with any questions you may have.
